Written across decades, these poems aren’t polished recollections—they’re living fragments, revisited with presence, tenderness, and a touch of disbelief. And, a few imaginary pieces needing a place to land.
Hello! I’m Jackie Moloney—writer, creative, and founder of Faith-in-Form.
First Look is published under my given name, Jacqueline Henry, to honor where the poems began. I'm also truly grateful to the many publications who gave my work here a first home.
These poems were initially written in journals, notebooks, margins—over years of raising a family, facing illness, and holding space for others to heal. I've futzed with many of them over the years, always aiming for perfection, and then finally realizing each poem can, and will, continue to change.
My poems come from the same place as my work in Reiki, somatics, and embodied writing: a desire to feel more alive, more awake, more here. And always, always, fully whole.
