Awakening to Presence
A six-week embodied writing journey into endings, beginnings, and the life
we are living now.Â
Â
Life brings us repeatedly to moments of change. A season ends. A familiar role falls away. Something we have held onto asks to be released. Alongside these everyday endings is the knowledge that our lives, too, have an ending.
What might paying attention to these changes teach us about living?
In Embodied Awakenings, we explore death, life, and rebirth through the body, imagination, and page. We make room for honest conversation about mortality, the “little deaths” of changing identities and life stages, and the possibilities that emerge as we meet what is here.
Through breathwork, guided journeying, somatic awareness, and writing, we practice returning to presence. We notice where we pull away from experience, explore surrender, and listen for connection—with ourselves, the earth, and the sacred in ordinary life.
Â
The practiceÂ
Each class brings together teaching, embodied practice, and time to write. Science, wisdom traditions, literature, and art offer different ways into our inquiry. There is room for mystery, questions, and discoveries that arrive through the writing itself.
Embodied writing begins with noticing your body’s sensations, emotions, and rhythms, then allowing words to emerge from that felt experience. A breath, an image, or a sensation can become the beginning of a story—and a way of hearing yourself more clearly.
You are welcome to follow what speaks to your own life. Sharing is always optional, and no previous writing experience is needed.
What you’ll carry with youÂ
- Writing that gives form to your experiences, questions, and discoveries.
- Simple embodied practices for returning to presence in daily life.
- Ways to reflect on what is ending, what matters now, and what may be beginning.
Together, we practice meeting life with curiosity and care, awakening again and again to the ordinary moments we are here to live.

Begins November 4
Six live Zoom classes + replaysÂ

 The Journey
Together, we’ll explore:
- Physically — what happens in the body
- Mentally — how the mind encounters change
- Emotionally — how endings move through us
- Spiritually — the questions and beliefs that shape our understanding
This is a space for honest conversation, embodied practice, and writing as a way of discovery.Â
Each week blends:
- Science — grounding the inquiry in body and brain
- Somatic practices — movement, breath, and embodied ritual
- Generative writing — prompts that open space for reflection and creativity
- Stories & art — perspectives drawn from literature, myth, and imagination
The aim is not to resolve death, but to awaken to it: noticing what dies, what dissolves, and what becomes in you.
Â
By the End of the Journey
You’ll carry with you:
- A body of writing that traces your inquiry
- Somatic practices you can return to in daily life
- A deeper relationship with death as both mystery and teacher

By joining now, you step into an inquiry that can reshape not just how you meet endings, but how you live each day.
